A Mac a Day Keeps the Doctor Away…. usually.

There are two things that I don’t understand about Apple. There are a million things that I love about Apple.

Maybe, it just one thing I don’t understand and one thing that frustrates me. Actually, its probably just two things that frustrates me, which I guess I understand and a million things I love.

The first thing that frustrates me is imovie 08. I understand that this is not final cut and that it is designed for making really simple home movies very easily. I would totally agree that this is true. I have only used imovie 08 once and found that it sacrificed many features, which were great features, for the sake of ease. I guess it makes sense, Apple products and software are known for their ease of use, but I miss the ability to adjust volume levels and see the timeline the old way. I miss the slow mo and the speed up clips, which are always good for a laugh. I know I could shell out whatever it takes to do this things with upgraded software, but for the amount I use it its not worth it. I’ll definitely be using the old version of imovie in the future.

The other thing that frustrates me is the new iphoto. Anytime I want to send a photo as an attachment or post a picture online I have to go in, manually drop it to the desktop, just so it is accessible. I know why Apple did it, its because you could totally screw up your photo collection if you started renaming folders and stuff in the old version, but couldn’t they just make it so renaming or changing a couple things wouldn’t totally destroy the program?! This is obviously not making things easier, its adding a step to the process.

Oh well, the good totally outweighs the bad.
